Hello, Hello my fellow bookworms. I have a new product (on the book block) information for you. A new quarterly book subscription box featuring books from independent publishers and a few book related gifts. The founder of the Box is Bex Hughes of Ninja Book Swap, for those who have participated on the popular 3 times a year book swap, will already know her. She is a true book lover, what with organising 3 book swaps a year, 2 successful bookshop crawls already this year, sending parcels or joy or #happymail out in the world. She has her hands full with her young family and all the books she can cram in between. She sure has a book rich life and when she announced the subscription box and started a crowd funding campaign for it, I knew I had to get involved in some way. Since I couldn’t provide monetary support, I jumped on the promotion opportunity and glad I did. I love independent publishers and some of absolutely favorite authors are independent either self publishing their books or working with Indie Publishers.
Indie worry not it’s just a short form, popular word for Independent, as simple as that
Now let me tell you about the #NinjaBookBox
What is a subscription box?
A box of curated (selected by the subscription team) goodies packed in a pretty box and delivered to your home. There are subscription boxes of various kinds – Beauty, Fashion, Food, Stationery, Books etc. Google it for more information and discover the world of subscription boxes.
What is NinjaBookBox? In the words of the box founder – Bex Hughes.
Ninja Book Box is a new quarterly box shipping worldwide from the UK and featuring books published by independent publishers. We aim to introduce excellent books (both backlist and new releases) particularly those which our team & the publishers we work with feel haven’t received the recognition they deserve, and help you find favourites in genres you wouldn’t necessarily pick up for yourselves. Supporting primarily UK based small businesses, each box will contain a book (often signed by the author & with additional material) plus at least two gift items and lots of other fun extras and will take its theme from the book. We want to support excellence and promote exploration and discovery in all aspects of the box. Subscribers will also gain access to lots of additional community perks. For more information sign up to our newsletter, or check out our website for details of how to get the first box!
How much is it for?
The very first box is available to those who supported (funded) the subscription service via a kick starter campaign which ended on 2nd October. Due to the huge success and response Bex will have a mini box available soon on the website for those interested but weren’t part of the funding. More details available on the website.
The next box – February one, will be available to order for everyone; The cost of the box and international shipping details will soon be revealed on the website. Each box will have a different theme.
What’s so special/ different about this Subscription?
NinjaBookBox will support Independent publishers which means you get to support them too. You get to discover new authors and Bookish gems all with some awesome book related gifts. All this delivered quarterly right at your home all the way from England.
