Katy is back on my blog with her intoxicating latest story Marry me Mad. I read an excerpt of this one in Katy’s last Jonquils for Jax and have been excited to read Madeline and Cort Ambler’s story. Cort sounded terrific and his chemistry with Maddy is unmissable. So hang around and find out how these two intoxicated me.

For as long as Madeleine “Mad” Rousseau can remember, she’s been the “sweet” twin to her sister Jax’s “sassy.” But after an especially painful break-up, Mad decides she’s had enough of being sweet. Children’s librarian during the day, she begins visiting Philly’s seedier nightspots on a quest for adventure. When Cortlandt “Cort” Ambler, the ex-boyfriend of Mad’s sister, Jax, saves her from disaster on one such evening, an unlikely friendship is born between the rebellious librarian and the moonlighting pianist…and two broken hearts begin a journey toward being whole again.

Before I begin talking about #CortandMad I want to put it out there that I was a disappointed to not do a release day review of Marry me Mad. But glad I am reviewing it today, as this Review is also part of the Blog Tour, which starts today, organised by The Social Butterfly PR. Check out their website to know rest of the lovely bloggers involved.
Now, now, now my dear fellow readers and Katy Regnery Fans, Cort is mind blowing. He is such a sweetheart with intense heat and passion packed in his character. I have never seen a guy even on Blueberry Lane who is so deeply, madly in love. Cort takes the top honours and made me ache for his stand in for myself. Miss Mad Rousseau is one deserving, lucky cherie who’s passion and brightness is a wonderful match to Cort’s.
Their Love story is equally full of obstacles as it is full of need, want, yearning and desire for each other. Their intensity specially of Cort made me weep, whoop with joy and my heart was so full of love and face paining with mile wide smiles. Katy kills it with SMS (text messaging) in her stories and the conversations between Cort and Mad is so full of emotions ~ love, flirty, caring and need, it blew me away.
Ok, it does sound cheesy your boyfriend writing songs or poems about you, but in this story it comes so naturally that it feels like an integral part of their story. Katy has a knack of creating a heady atmosphere which pulls in the reader and soon you start feeling like it is your love story. This one is no different Cort is Wonderful. Every guy has caveman tendencies and Katy’s heroes have it too but they also wear it with grace. Cort Ambler tries to be careful when reuniting with his long lost love Mad Rousseau and not come across as a gruff caveman. However his protective actions and fending off other guys from Mad makes him adorable.
That’s the thing with guys acting like they own you, to the viewer it looks like anti feminist and ancient but to the people in the relationship it’s natural. In my experience such behavior is a part of the relationship, in instances it makes us feel all loved up, safe and all glowing. As anti feminist as I sound that’s how it feels. Cort Ambler does caveman so so good it made me giggle like a teenager. His vulnerability, pining and toe curling love for Miss Mad had me hooked. I have never read about a guy so madly in love to see him curling his toes at the sight of his love. Katy love you for making Cortie that awesome.
Marry me Mad has sister code, old love reuniting, misunderstandings cleared. It is love between two strong, beautiful, loyal souls at its full strength and trust me it will make you swoon, giggle and fall hard for them. If you are familiar with the many other Blueberry Lane characters their appearances will make it all the more heartening. The ending was beautifully approached and unravelled by the author.
There’s also a sneak peek of the next book in the series which is Jean-Chritian aka JC’s story. He is one rogue charmer and I am very much looking forward to meet him.
