Hello dear readers and fellow book lovers, I have yet another book to talk about today, the latest from my favorite American author – Katy Regnery. It’s the book 3 of her latest series – The Summerhaven Trio featuring Irish American triplets. Every time I read an Irish lead character I fall hard for them and this was no different. Ian Haven is bloody fantastic and so so perfectly flawed that you’ll immediately find him lovable. Happy Reading.

From the New York Times bestselling author of The Blueberry Lane series comes a new trio of romances featuring the Haven triplets!
Ian Haven and Halcyon Gilbert haven’t seen each other since Hallie’s 17th birthday…
…the same day Hallie pledged she would never, ever speak to Ian again as long as she lived.
Hallie Gilbert has had an especially awful year. When her husband of five years left her, Hallie’s 4-year-old daughter, Jenny, essentially stopped speaking. Add to this, Hallie had to sell her Boston apartment to pay her husband’s exorbitant credit card bills. What Hallie needs is an uncomplicated autumn at Colby Cottage, her family’s summer home in Sandwich, NH, where she and Jenny can re-group and figure out what happens next.
But Colby Cottage, located adjacent to the Summerhaven Camp, has not been well-maintained and Hallie finds it in such disrepair, it’s almost unlivable. When nearby camp owner, Rory Haven, arranges for his brother, Ian, to handle renovations for Hallie, her plans for an uncomplicated autumn suddenly get a lot more challenging.
Ian and Hallie have been a part of each others formative teenage years, being part of the same summer camp. Ian being the son of the camp organisers and Hallie attending the camp with her friends from school. Their teenage love was full of secret rendezvous, stolen glances and kisses around the hidden pathways around the camp. However, their heartbreak was very publicized among the other campers (friends and frenemies of Hallie’s life back in Boston). What started as a promising summer ends with Ian and Hallie breaking up and not seeing each other for the next decade.
Fast forward a decade, Ian and Hallie have been through personal struggles, trials and almost hit rock bottom. Ian turning alcoholic, homeless; Hallie having a loveless marriage, then divorce, in debt and a beautiful little girl. They both end up New Haven, having finally taken charge of their lives and sorting things. Seeing each other after a decade brings back all the pain, heartbreak mixed with hope, love and dreams of a future together.
Their journey is achingly beautiful, it is filled with so much love, longing and angst that it’s hard to pass it off as just another second chance love story. What makes it special for me is how they make up for their past, the time they lost, emotions they never shared and memories they couldn’t make. They tackle it all head on and when Hallie gets a chance to know what exactly caused their break up a decade back, she goes right for it.
Their future starts when they realize what separated them for a long time. What they do next is swoony, passionate, caring and oh so full of love. The Irish charm, family values, siblings bond continues in this story like it did in the first 2 books. The sweet little nothings in Irish definitely stole my heart. Also, meeting the handsome rogue Finnian just made my day and I am looking forward to Book 4 while I dream of Ian and Burr.
Read this lovely, concise , to the point, full of heart love story, perfect for anytime, all seasons and moods reading.
