Hello lovely readers, hope you having a good new year so far. I have a proper, hot cowboy story for you in today’s #bookreview So without further ado, Happy Reading.

Title – There’s Something about a Cowboy
Author – Rich Amooi
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Publication Date: 25th October 2018

Rating – 4 /5

Rule #1: No Dating Cowboys.
A fake fiancé doesn’t count, right? Oh boy . . .

Amy Weaver is tired of her dad meddling in her love life. Fed up, she hires an actor to play the part of her fake cowboy fiancé when she goes home for her grandpa’s ninetieth birthday. Sure, Luke Jenkins has got looks, charm, and muscular legs, but this is business, pure and simple. Things are fine and dandy until she finds out he’s a real cowboy, not an actor.

Now, she’s stuck between a rock and his chiseled jawline, falling faster than a sack of horseshoes. How the heck is Amy supposed to ignore the sparks between them and stick to her rule of not dating cowboys? All bets are off.

My thoughts

This is the first time I have read this author and safe to say I enjoyed this story. It’s about a woman in her 40’s falling for a young man who she hires to be her fake fiancée for her grandfather’s birthday celebrations and to get rid of her ex.

So, Two birds with one stone; however they both surprise each other whilst pretending to be in a loving relationship.

I enjoyed the humor of the hero in this story. It’s a bit of a cat mouse chase between the couple before the heroine accepts her falling for the guy. The heroine’s family is fun and adds quite a bit of fun and drama to the story.

Paired with some fairly hot kisses and quite romantic moments this is a fun, easy and quick read.
