My Thoughts

Hattie Mulberry is an absolute cracker of a character. Imagine a pin up girl, vivacious full of life and risqué, just your regular Miss Marple, new in town and already making waves, that’s our dear Hattie for you.

Hattie is a retired hotelier who moves to the village of Holly Wood in Cumbria, England. A Cumbria girl who inherits a cottage in holly wood from an aunt, newly bereaved Hattie takes this as an opportunity to retire from her hotel job and retire to the sleepy village. Soon bored with no much to do, Hattie becomes a private detective and gets cracking on her first case of a beloved villager Brandon’s sudden death by suicide. Will Hattie crack her case or just scratch her nosey bone? Get a copy today and go on this fun adventure with Hattie Mulberry, private dick of holly wood.

Hattie playing Miss Marple, helping at the church fete, new dramas unfolding in the village, then there’s Reggie the local pub owner and Hattie’s beau it’s a pretty darn enjoyable time we spend knowing the characters of the village. The story is cosy crime, a nice substantial village story with friendship, romance and love all mixed up in a way the reader is sure to enjoy and have a good time reading. I felt it perfect as an anytime read.

So grab a copy and get going on adventures in holly wood.
