Blog Tour #bookreview After the Fall and Lessons in Corruption by Giana Darling #FallenMenSeries

Hiya lovely readers, hope you are taking good care of yourselves. Today’s #bookreview is of #AfterTheFall by Giana Darling, one of my favourite MC Romance writers.

AFTER THE FALL (The Fallen Men #4) by Giana Darling

Release Date: March 13th

I was settin’ up to live a good life, the kinda life I’d fought hard to deserve.

With a good woman––the best woman––at my side, a degree under my belt, and the whole world at my feet, I was livin’ the kinda happily ever after usually denied the rebellious and the criminal. I’d turned my back on that kinda life, thinkin’ I needed that clean, wholesome kinda happy.

Then the devil came dressed in the wings of an angel and took someone from me.

And I realized I was wrong.

There was no clean and wholesome for a man like me with poetry in his heart and outlaw in his blood. The life I’d been livin’ was only purgatory, holding me over until the time came for me to descend into Hell and pick up the tarnished crown that awaited me.

I was condemning my woman to a life of violence, blood, and heartache, but I had to hope she’d step up and finally be the rough and tumble queen to my Fallen MC king.

After the Fall can be read as a stand-alone romance, but you first meet the couple in Lessons in Corruption (The Fallen Men, #1)

My thoughts

Lessons in Corruption

Some people have an old soul beating in their hearts even when they are too small to understand the difference between body and soul. King Kyle Garro is an old soul, a poet, a romantic, the bad boy prince of The Fallen MC Club.
It was no surprise when a teenage King falls for Cress, whose a decade older than him. It is King whose the teenager but Cress whose nerves and heart become teenage like when they see each other for the first time.

What follows is Cress having her life completely overhauled when she lets herself be the kind of person she always yearned to be. For our MC Prince it is more of homecoming as he knew from first sight that Cress is the One for him. The One he’s been waiting for since a decade. Their love story begins from Mac’s Grocers parking lot and flourishes at The Shamblewood Cottage, home to Cress and King.
I loved the poetry in this story and how the young lovers proved themselves wrong on how age is just a number and love conquers it all.

After the Fall

This part continues Cress and King’s love story. It follows the upheavals in their love story, how King woos his Eve and brings her around to the big, bad life of The Fallen Brotherhood.
Ofcourse there’s danger, death and gore in store for our rough and tumble couple who are absolutely besotted with each other even after 4 years together.
I continued loving King’s poetry and passion.
Cress blossoming into a strong, beautiful soul was amazing to read.
There’s a bookstore in the story which simply made my heart beat faster with joy.
The love for family, brotherhood, MC life, loyalty shines gloriously in After the Fall.
Daddy Zeus Garro simply made me sob with love, sadness, pride and every emotion in between. His tenderness for Cress’s grief and restraint to avenge King is breathtaking.
King is all that is sweet and rough but Zeus in this story made me fall hard for him once again.

If you are ever curious about MC Romance, this is the one for you as there’s no biker more romantic and lovable than King Kyle Garro.
