Seren Maddison left behind a rainy Britain to follow her dreams and live and work in Lisbon. The vibrancy, the beautiful scenery and the sunshine, made her fall in love and she knew, instantly, that it would be her forever home.

International artist Reid Henderson has homes in Lisbon and London. Following his painful divorce, his dream is to turn his luxurious home into an art school and gallery.

When Seren and Reid first meet there is an instant attraction, but they are both people who have been hurt, and each have dreams that are so far apart, they aren’t even on the same page.

Can they enjoy one summer of happiness together, as life bestows a gift of memories to cherish for the rest of their lives? Or is their destiny to chart a path into the future, in a home where dreams can come true?

Seren and Reid may be about to discover that love is as much about what you are prepared to give up, as what you are prepared to keep hold of.

Let Lucy Coleman transport you away to sun-drenched Portugal where true love really can conquer all, and home is where the heart is. Perfect for all fans of Trisha Ashley, Holly Martin and Sue Moorcroft.

My thoughts

A Villa of Dreams is about Seren who leaves everything familiar, the city she is born in to the life she has grown up in. Moving to a new country with a goal to find her true self alongwith a few dreams of love and life in her mind, Seren is set for the next chapter of her life.

The story follows Seren, who joins a prestigious art gallery in Portugal’s capital Lisbon as the Events manager. With a new job she has a lot to prove with the gallery’s 5 year anniversary event as her first big job. As Seren lines up an impressive event with major artists she gains more than she had bargained for. Will it be a success in more than just her professional life or the rewards extend to her personal life as well, only reading will tell you so.

I loved the story, it spoke to me,inspired me and the beautiful backdrop of Portugal is stunning to say the least. The characters are smart, vibrant and their interactions dynamic and full of life.
I loved the lead character Seren, her clarity, courage and determination is refreshing. Her love story and how she handles is vulnerable and strong at the same time.

The Villa of Dreams is definitely a story you would enjoy by the pool and maybe put a trip to Portugal right at the top of your travel list soon.
