Jess is falling for Sam.
Sam is falling for Jess.
But it seems life will do whatever it takes to make them fall apart.
When Jess and Sam lock eyes at a party, a spark ignites. The spark. But love at first sight isn’t like the movies, especially when Sam’s ex, Victoria, is determined to make their honeymoon period a living hell.
Is love at first sight enough?
The Spark, I found it to be a wholesome love story definitely with sparks of all kinds.
The story follows Jess and Sam post their first meeting where lightning struck them both. Since one of them is not free to be struck as such there is the aftermath to deal with. Insert Sparks of the revenge, to put it in simple terms, kind. Will they get their happily ever after and able to put aside all the drama and social outcasting or the Spark, of love, romance kind, fizzle out.
Pick up a copy and spend a great time reading all about it.
I loved the characters especially Jess, who though is Miss goody goody but shines something fierce when the moment demands. Her opposite Sam is your regular tall, blonde handsome Adonis. Let’s keep the cliched hero features aside for this one and focus on the story and Jess.
I say wholesome love story as there’s your emotional baggage, drama and everything else in between at regular intervals. You also have crazy sweet cousins and great aunts for good measure with the necessary family celebrations thrown.
I would say between all the family drama and bonding there’s plenty swoony and romantic moments to enjoy the Spark on a cold, winter day.
