Summary – Tired of not having a sustainable writing practice? You, too, can get out of your own way and become the writer you’re meant to be!

52 Weeks of Writing:

  • makes you plan, track, reflect on, and improve your progress and goals for an entire year;
  • helps you unravel the truth about why you aren’t where you want to be; and
  • keeps you writing through weekly thought-provoking quotes and prompts.

With this second volume of the 52 Weeks of Writing Author Journal and Planner, writing coach and writer Mariëlle S. Smith brings you the same successful strategies to craft the perfect writing practice as she did in the first journal. The only difference? Fifty-three different writing quotes and prompts and a brand-new look!

My thoughts – I reviewed the pdf i.e the digital version of this Planner, Journal. It is a popular belief that creative minds are often chaotic. Well many a times it is so especially when it comes to author’s, writers whose minds go in as many directions as their characters, the lives playing out in their minds. As true as that is, we also know the slumps, uninspiring days and moods creatives experience are much more intense than say, practical people. Now this is in my experience, so don’t go quoting me on that.

What this planner journal brings to an author’s table is some calm, quite and organisation in their creatively busy and chaotic minds. It allows the author especially one’s going through a writer’s block or if they are in between books and stuck before they start writing the next one. It allows them to organise their schedules and overall non book related part of the writing process.

How it helps non author’s is when they set out to write a certain amount of words for any purpose whether it’s professional or personal. In today’s time when non published,hobby writers get to experience the NaNoWrimo movement where set up goals for themselves to fulfill their unfinished writing goals, this planner journal can set them up in an organised and continuing way. Since it is Undated they can use it on project basis easily and gain maximum benefits. The journaling part provides reflection and accountability for them to keep tweaking the goals to suit their writing and general lifestyle.

I beleive this is a planner journal for anyone who wants to experience a productive writing journey.

An extract from the journal – Each week of 52 Weeks of Writing starts with an inspiringwriting quote and ends with a writing prompt or exercise designed to make you grow as a writer in all ways imaginable. Some prompts will help train thewriting muscle, whileothers focus on theauthor mindset. Some willbe easyto do, while others mightpush you right out of your comfort zone, asking you to dig deep and broaden your horizon.
