My thoughts

Christmas in Cockleberry Bay, the seaside town with the Cockleberry crew is back. This time around we see the story buildup around Halloween to Christmas.

Christmas in Cockleberry Bay follows the charcters of the Bay with some new introductions and the regular cast. We see Rosa working hard to mantain a work family life balance. The Bay’s hotels are preparing for inspections and hoping to improve their star ratings.

There’s always drama when it is a small community so we have that in Davina who is going out with our – now resident plumber Lucas of the Ship. There’s the sea with it’s tides and some storms around Halloween.

Soon we have Christmas, charity events in full swing amidst the drama of hotel inspections. So will the residents have a jolly good time with the run-up to Christmas or will there be Grinches? Buy a copy of Christmas at Cockleberry Bay and join the fun.

I loved being back in Cockleberry Bay and meeting the new characters. This is part of series however it’s more than the story being continued where it left off in the last part. There are new characters, new adventures which makes this a fun standalone read too.

The storyline has so much going on that you soon get wrapped up in the lives of the characters and find yourself having a great time. The plot is crisp, sharp and well paced. The characters are written very well and I find them smart and to the point in their various emotions.

I would definitely recommend this as a Christmas read this year.
